SPOT FOR SEALS & DOLPHINSLeaving from the historical port of Newquay Cornwall join us on a 2hr Costal Wildlife Boat Trip down the western shore to Seal Cove. Your cruise will start in Newquay Bay where you will learn about the old smugglers of Newquay, the local fishing and maritime industry and the RNLI whilst observing an array of seabirds including cormorants, gannets and kittiwakes. You will then cruise west past Britain’s most famous surfing beach Fistral, whilst enjoying the breathtaking Cornish coast we will arrive at Seal cove where you will find the local population of grey seals which can be observed in their natural environment. Dolphins, Sunfish, Seals and Jellyfish are a common sight during the Summer months however pleased be advised that the wildlife is not caged and we cannot guarantee sightings, we carry upto 12 people on our charters. For those who want a bit more of a bend on the rod this is the trip for you.
If you don’t have your own equipment you will be provided with top quality Shakespeare Ugly Stik 12/20 class rod, paired with a Diawa Sl20Sh multiplier reel loaded with high quality braid, we only use top end terminal tackle and baits all of which are included in the charter price. If you are not an experienced angler don’t be put off, Matt will be on hand throughout the day to offer guidance and tuition where required. A typical trip would find us either drifting the rough/broken ground for Cod, Pollack or Ling to hitting the sand for Gurnard and Haddock. We also fish many Reefs targeting Black/Couches Bream. Newquay also has an abundance of wrecks to choose from and in our opinion the BEST species fishing in the UK. Weather and tides will dictate the grounds we fish and unfortunately time constraints mean we cannot cover all areas, however upon boarding Matt will offer advice as to the most productive areas and species to target at that particular time in order to give you the highest chance of some rod bending action. To that end we carry less anglers on our all day charters to allow for extra leg room... More space, less tangles, more fish to the net.
